The Mysterious Puma Punku

Puma Punku, an ancient site near the present day city of Tiwanaku, Bolivia, was believed to be constructed around 17,000 years ago.

In Inca tradition, Puma Punku is the site where the world was created and a holy place. As homage to this belief, the ancient people built a series of stone temple complexes. They utilized what are now deemed “H-Blocks” as the foundations and support columns for these temples.

What’s interesting about this method are the “H-Blocks” themselves. They are all the same size, shape and weight (as if they were built on an assembly line) and were cut with laser-like precision. Assembly lines and lasers were not available until several thousands of years later and this civilization evidently just had primitive tools and chisels.
